Bedrooms Don't Have to be Complicated to be Cozy

One of our favourite tricks to making a bedroom inherently cozy, is to include different textures in the same colour palette. The bedroom should also be a haven of good vibes, rest and relaxation. It’s important to keep distractions in this space to a minimum. If you’ve been wanting to try out a certain colour palette, the bedroom is a great space to begin with. We love using white bedding and curtains to create a light and airy feeling. This allows for a neutral backdrop to add that texture and colour.

Whether you want to create a coastal bedroom, a light and feminine room, something more moody, or perhaps a relaxed boho vibe, these stylish bedrooms will give you all the decorating ideas you need to design a beautiful and cozy space. We’ve shared a few inspiring bedroom ideas below on how to decorate a bedroom of any size with texture and colour. As you scroll through, take note of what you love about each space.

A mix of light blues and greys with the beach wood canopy bed gives you that coastal bedroom feel. Texture is added through the cozy knitted blanket casually tossed at the end of the bed, the ceramic table lamps and pops of greenery.

For that more feminine feel, blush and light creams are used throughout this bedroom inspiration. A variety of pillows in all shapes and sizes, an oversized duvet and fur throw give it that casual, but elegant feel. The rug pulls all the colours together and adds that texture.

It doesn’t get any more moody with a dark green wall as your backdrop. With such a bold statement colour, we love using whites and creams to neutralize the space. Adding warmer tones and texture through the wood bench and leather pillows.

Boho vibes going on in this bedroom. A lot of texture through the woven baskets, greenery, mix of textiles and wood side tables. All the while it feeling spacious and bright in a smaller space.
