Styling your Coffee Table

Coffee tables are often, even unintentionally, the focal point of a living room. We feel styling your coffee table is the finishing touch, so getting the styling just right is a must. It can make the mood for the rest of your space. We’re guilty of stashing our old receipts and keys there too, but there is a way to make your setup both functional and fashionable.

This week, we’re sharing 5 tips on how to style your coffee table for any type of surrounding and make a good impression.

One. Start with a Plant or Florals
A little greenery or a pop of colour goes a long way. Start with an interesting plant or floral arrangement to make your coffee table feel more organic and less staged.

Two. Layering Decorative Objects
Add a stack of books and decorative objects for a personal touch. Candles, vases and sentimental objects will give your coffee table a more elevated and interesting feel. It will also create height where things might otherwise feel a little flat.

Three. Play With the Shape of your Coffee Table
With a round coffee table we generally think they look their best when items are arranged in a triangular shape. With square coffee tables, try dividing the surface into quadrants and display an arrangement of four main items.

Four. Coordinate Your Colours
Pull accent colours from around your home and add a mix of other items to keep everything looking good together.

Five. Organize with a Tray
Use a tray to keep all your small essentials organized. This could include remotes, coasters, or any other items you like to keep handy on your coffee table.

We would love to hear how you’ve styled your coffee table!
